The body of a West Midlands Fire Service firefighter who went missing while on a charity swim in the English Channel has been found.
Fire Station Crew Manager Iain Hughes started off June 20 from the Kent coast but went missing later that day in French waters, The Independent reported.
On Friday, fire service officials announced his body had been found off the coast of Belgium.
French and Belgian officials launched an extensive search for Hughes, but it was later called off.
He was swimming to raise money for the British Heart Foundation, The Fire Fighters Charity and the Midlands Air Ambulance.
